About Kat Rosati

Kat Rosati has been interested in anything artsy since she was a young child.  She loves music, art, design and anything with a creative outlet.  Her love of fashion started while in high school; she started taking apart her clothes to make new outfits.  While in college studying as a music major a few co-workers liked her designs and suggested she start studying design rather than music.  Always one that is up for learning something new, she took a basic design course at a community college and was hooked.  She has studied design at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), and The Art Institute.

She is inspired by varying textures and mixing a soft, feminine look with a hard, edgy one, without sacrificing the quality of well made clothes.  “Sewing… really good sewing and creating the details with hand work is becoming a lost art.  I have been lucky enough to have really wonderful mentors who taught me these skills.  I put these skills into each garment I create so that I can be proud of the end result.  My collection is for women who are sexy, confident and take life by the horns and want to look good while doing it.”

She lives in Southern California with her husband, Peter and daughters, Adeline and Chiara.  She enjoys cooking, hanging out with friends and family, picnics, wine tasting, learning new things and just taking one day at a time.

Casa di Rosati strives to provide high quality clothes and home decor items, each handmade using couture techniques.  The fabrics used are high end luxury fabrics including alpaca wool, cashmere, silk, and leather.  We are committed to offering our customers outstanding service and high quality couture, handmade pieces, with the ability to have them custom made.  Through continuous self-improvement new products and services will be introduced to meet the needs of our customers and enable them to have well made items that enhance their lives.

Philanthropy

Casa di Rosati has a strong commitment to our community.  We are thankful for everything that we have been given and believe in passing it forward.  Throughout the year we work with several charities to help needy families in our community.  By holding special auctions on one-of-a-kind items and sample sales we are able to raise money for these charities and help make a difference.

In our commitment to limit our ecological footprint, all of our one-of-a-kind items are made from scrap materials that otherwise would have been thrown away.  This helps use re-use our waste and limit the amount we are putting in landfills.  We also recycle paper, aluminum, glass and plastic.

We ship all of our orders via USPS Priority Mail.  Not only does this keep the shipping costs down for our clients, but the boxes are eco-friendly too!  As we grow we are committed to implementing more opportunities to be green.
